A lot of endocrine care is conversation: reviewing labs and CGM data, adjusting medications, planning next steps. That works remarkably well by video — which is why televisits are a first-class part of how we practice, not an afterthought.
If you're anywhere in Ohio, you can see our specialists by secure video for many visit types, with our Elyria and Westlake offices there when hands-on care is needed.
What works well by televisit
Routine diabetes and thyroid follow-ups, medication adjustments, CGM and pump data reviews, lab result discussions, and many new-patient consultations all translate well to video. You'll get the same unhurried, plain-language conversation you'd get in the office — without the drive, the waiting room, or time off work.
And what still needs an office visit
Some things deserve hands-on care: thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies, physical exams for new concerns, and in-house A1C testing. We'll be straightforward about which visits should be in person, and many patients settle into a comfortable rhythm of mostly-video care with periodic office visits.
Why patients choose Ohio Endocrinology
We're not generalists. Hormones and metabolism are all we do — and it shows in how visits feel.
Specialists, not generalists
Led by Dr. Vikram Kumar, MD, FACE — practicing endocrinology since 1993, Division Chief of Endocrinology at Fairview Hospital (Cleveland Clinic) and Chief of Medicine at University Hospital Elyria.
Answers at the visit
A1C tested in-house with results while you're in the room, plans adjusted the same day, and everything explained in plain language — no phone tag.

What our patients say
Real feedback from patients across Northern Ohio.
My experience with the office was a great one. There was no wait for my appointment and the physician assistant was very thorough and friendly. They are awesome and I love that I can do televisits anytime!
Dr. Kumar and his PA, Nam, are an awesome team! Together the two of them got my blood sugars on track!
They saved my life as far as I’m concerned. By adjusting my medication and explaining everything, I feel better than I have in years about my diabetes.
