The short version: we ask a lot, we listen to the answers, we test what needs testing, and you leave understanding your situation better than when you arrived.
How the visit runs
Your doctor reviews your medical history in detail and performs a full examination — this is the "asking and listening" part, and we don't rush it. We go through your symptoms on your timeline: when things started, what's changed, what you've already tried. Then we explain what we think is going on and what we want to check, in plain language. If an A1C is needed, we run it in-house and discuss the result during the visit. We typically provide any lab slips at the end of the visit, so you can complete remaining tests when it's convenient for you.
What to bring (and what happens next)
Bring your medication list with doses, any recent lab results, your glucose meter or CGM data if you use one, and your insurance card. Registering on our patient portal ahead of time speeds up check-in — or our team can help you register by phone before your visit.
You'll leave knowing three things: what we think is happening, what we're doing about it, and when we'll know if it's working. Follow-ups can often be done by televisit.
